I bought the CF-100 to replace my current single channel dash cam so that I could also record video from the rear of the car.
Installation was easy. I bought a 3rd party DC cable power box so that I could better control my recording while parking. It allows me to leave the camera running while parked and it includes a battery protection feature that will turn off the camera if my car battery drops below a certain voltage. It also allows me to turn off the camera if I choose not to record video while parked (like at home in my garage). I did find that the rear mini-b usb cable that was included with the camera was too short when trying to mount the cameras in the center of the rear window and front windshield. The included cable is plenty long but I chose to really hide the wires and there was not enough cable length to run it along the door seals and up my A pillar and then across the windshield of my 2011 VW Jetta sedan. I wound up having to mount the camera at the very top of the windshield and too close on the drivers side for my liking. I plan to purchase a 3' mini-b usb extender cable to move it over and hide it in front of my rear view mirror.
Setup was easy but I was unable to successfully format my 32GB SanDisk memory card in the unit. I just formatted it on my laptop and it works great.
Overall, the CF-100 was half the cost of it's nearest competitor and has equal fit and finish and similar video quality and features.
This is a great choice for complete car coverage on a budget.
